Julia Lippman is a Senior Research Specialist at the Center for Political Studies. She received her Ph.D. in Communication Studies (now the Department of Communication and Media) at the University of Michigan in 2013 and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in Developmental Psychology, also at the University of Michigan.
She is interested in understanding the social worlds people inhabit, an interest that has taken her down various scholarly roads. Her past research covers topics ranging from musical taste to stalking to abortion. As an undergraduate, she attended Hampshire College, which either explains or reflects (or both!) her resistance to traditional disciplinary bounds.
